Zsolt Eszes, CEO of our sister company Water4All, was the guest on Trend FM's A Nap Vendége (Guest of the Day) programme on 22 September 2026. In conversation with host András Érczfalvi, he discussed the state of Hungary's water resources, the reuse of treated wastewater and the energy challenges facing wastewater treatment plants.
One of the key messages: around 550 million cubic metres of treated wastewater is returned to the environment in Hungary every year, yet almost none of it is reused today. The conversation also covered new EU and Hungarian regulation, quaternary treatment for removing micropollutants, energy-neutral treatment plants, and a concrete target of reusing half of all treated wastewater within ten years.
